ABOUT THE LILLIAN RECREATIONAL PARK

This beautiful, free-to-all park is cared for and maintained by volunteers.   The larger park area is dedicated to recreational activities such as baseball, basketball, football, soccer, pickleball, and a playground.  Providing healthy recreational activities, from walking to individual and team sports,  is a core principal of the Park.

The Park is a beautiful place to enjoy nature or some quiet time.  We offer a beautiful figure-8 walking trail, almost a mile long, that winds its way around the ball fields.  A Native Azalea Garden, trees, flowering shrubs, and a dog run add enjoyment to your visit to the Park.  While dogs must be leashed on the walking trails, our dog run provides an area where your dogs can run off-leash.

The Lillian Recreational Park is not affiliated with any governmental entity, so we receive no government funding or tax dollars.  We are 100% funded by private donations.

The Park is open daily, including holidays, until dusk.

The Park is located at  33914 Widell in Lillian, AL.

Environmental Stewardship

The Lillian Recreational Park believes we have the duty and responsibility to protect and enhance our environment for future generations.  We believe that having a clean, sustainable, and accessible park improves the quality of life for every person in our community and that it positively impacts the environment. Therefore, the Lillian Recreational Park is committed to preserving natural resources and wildlife habitats, protecting clean water and clean air, providing accessible open space for current and future generations, fostering sustainability through public engagement and education activities, and doing our part to help reduce the effect of climate change.
